The Motivation Equation

“If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.”

At the core of The Telos Lifestyle Revolution™ is the Nobel Prize winning Motivation Equation.

Expectancy times by Value, divided by Impulsiveness times by Delay, equals Motivation.

The only way you will continue maintain your habits, work to reach your goals and achieve success is to get the balance of the motivation equation to swing in your favour so you have a lot more Expectancy and Value and much less Impulsiveness and Delay.

It’s probably worth taking some time to fully appreciate the importance of the Motivation Equation, as it may be the most important equation you will ever learn and could be difference between you being successful at whatever you want to achieve in life, or failing. If you don’t get this right, the only other hope you have is pure luck.

Let us look at the two parts of the equation.

Expectancy and Value

If there is not enough Expectancy that something can and will happen, or if you have not placed enough Value on it being important to you, then you are not likely to want to continue doing what you need to do to succeed and achieve it.

Impulsiveness and Delay

Likewise, if you do not manage your Impulsiveness, you will become distracted, and the further your goal is set in the future, the greater the chance you will Delay doing the work required to achieve it.

The Telos Lifestyle Revolution™ provides you with tools and training you need to help you balance all four parts of the Motivation Equation.
