I like science. I like research. I like results.

(This page and experiment are under construction. If you recently heard about this at the JT Foxx event, please contact me with your details, and I will be in touch soon. In the meantime, you can get started with the 6 Simple Questions using Google Forms.)

In a Duke University study, 4,885 participants answered 6 daily questions designed by world-renowned executive coach Marshall Goldsmith. After just 10 days:

  • 91% improved in at least 1 area of their life
  • 67% improved in at least 4 areas

Marshall Goldsmith's 6 Daily Questions Results
The 6 questions were:

  1. Did I do my best to set clear goals today?
  2. Did I do my best to make progress towards my goals today?
  3. Did I do my best to find meaning today?
  4. Did I do my best to be happy today?
  5. Did I do my best to build positive relationships today?
  6. Did I do my best to be engaged today?

This simple yet powerful approach is grounded in the science of neuroplasticity and epigenetics, showing that we can reprogram our habits and thought patterns to improve our happiness, health, and success.

The 6 Simple Questions Experiment

Building upon this research, I am conducting an experiment to see if we can achieve even greater success rates by focusing on one specific area for a slightly longer period. The two focal points for this experiment are:

  1. Increasing happiness and joy
  2. Making healthier eating choices

The goal is to test if this method can be used to:

  • Reduce suicide rates within the Polish community in Edinburgh
  • Combat childhood obesity in Scotland and the UK

To participate, follow these 4 steps:

  1. Choose your focus area (happiness or healthy eating)
  2. Complete the initial assessment (happiness survey or weigh-in)
  3. Answer your set of 6 daily questions for 14 days
  4. Retake the assessment and fill out the follow-up questionnaire

By joining this experiment, you can harness the power of active questions to transform your life while contributing to research that could help tackle critical issues in our community.
